2nd half surge powers Michigan past Nortwestern, 42-24

A month after their wild home comeback win over Notre Dame, the Michigan Wolverines repeated the feat at Ryan Field, coming back from a 10-point halftime deficit to roar ahead for the 42-24 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats. With the win, the Wolverines improved to 6-0 for the first time since 2006.

Though Denard Robinson struggled in the first half, he made the biggest change and was outstanding in the second, finishing the game with 442 yards of offense, leading four second-half touchdown drives, completing 7-of-8 passes and rushing for 69 yards in the final 30 minutes — without a turnover.

The U-M defense was just as potent, holding Northwestern without a touchdown in the second half and forcing two turnovers.




Alex Carder threw for three touchdowns and added a rushing score as the Western Michigan Broncos rolled up 578 yards of offense to beat the Bowling Green Falcons, 45-21 in WMU's homecoming game.




Mike Glennon passed for 244 yards and four touchdowns to help the North Carolina State Wolfpack beat the Central Michigan Chippewas, 38-24. Ryan Radcliff passed for 245 yards, two touchdowns & four interceptions and Paris Cotton ran for 158 yards and a touchdown as the Chippewas dropped to 0-7 all time against current members of the ACC.




Ausitn Dantin and Terrance Owens each threw two touchdown passes as the Toledo Rockets tore apart the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 54-16. The Eagles (3-3, 1-1) came into the game averaging 233 yards rushing to lead the MAC, but were held to 89 yards rushing and 227 yards total offense. Alex Gillett passed for 122 yards and a touchdown for Eastern.
