Pistons open season on wrong foot against Pacers, 91-79
Roy Hibbert had 16 points and 14 rebounds to help the Indiana Pacers defeat the Detroit Pistons, 91-79. Jonas Jerebko and Rodney Stuckey each scored 17 points for the Pistons, who never led. Indiana outscored Detroit 16-4 from the free-throw line in the first half.
The Pacers led 52-38 at halftime and led 76-58 at the end of the third quarter. Danny Granger finished with 16 points on 6-for-18 shooting. They outrebounded the Pistons 53-40. Indiana had 18 offensive rebounds and 14 second-chance points.
