Spartans fall flat against Louisville in Sweet 16, 57-44

Dominating inside, Gorgui Dieng blocked seven shots and altered several others to anchor a stifling defense that helped the #4 Louisville Cardinals knock off the #1 Michigan State Spartans, 57-44 in the West regional semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.
Bradley Beal, a freshman for Florida, scored 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting to help the #7 Gators to a 68-58 victory over #3 Marquette Golden Eagles in the other West semifinal game.
WEST FINAL - #4 Louisville vs. #7 Florida - Saturday at 4:30 pm
The #1 Syracuse Orange finished with offensive statistics that the #4 Wisconsin Badgers just doesn’t allow in a 64-63 victory in the East regional semifinals that wasn’t secure until the final buzzer.
Jared Sullinger scored 23 points with 11 rebounds as the #2 Ohio State Buckeyes turned back Cincinnati’s last charge with a 17-1 run to beat the #6 Bearcats, 81-66 to advance to the NCAA regional finals for the first time since 2007.
EAST FINAL - #1 Syracuse vs. #2 Ohio State - Saturday at 7 pm
