Tigers Purchase the Contract of Catcher Omir Santos from Toledo

The Tigers today have purchased the contract of catcher Omir Santos from Triple A Toledo. Santos hit .310 (26x84) with seven doubles, a triple and nine RBI in 27 games for Toledo.
Santos will wear number 18 when he joins the Tigers for tonight's game at Boston.
Second baseman/outfielder Ryan Raburn was optioned to Toledo following last night’s game.
