Williams sisters add more gold to USA medal total

SUNDAY, AUGUST 5 - USA's Serena and Venus Williams retained their Olympic tennis women's doubles gold with a 6-4 6-4 win over Czech duo Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, becoming the first tennis players ever to win four golds each. The Williams sisters, who also won doubles gold in Beijing and Sydney, took an hour and a half to wrap up their defeat of the number four seeds under the Centre Court roof.

America's Sanya Richards-Ross (center), the 400-meter specialist, finally seized her gold medal on the Olympic stage, roaring to a convincing win over Britain's Christine Ohuruogu, who took silver, and U.S. teammate DeeDee Trotter, who settled for bronze. Richards-Ross won with a time of 49.55 seconds as Ohuruogu came in at 49.70 and Trotter 49.72.
