Tigers swept by Angels, but remain two back of Sox

After being swept by the L.A. Angels this past weekend, the Detroit Tigers are grateful they still remain two games behind the AL Central Division-leading Chicago White Sox, who lost to Kansas City, 2-1. Despite having the magic number of 22 against them, the Tigers will have a chance to gain momentum & maybe even take over the division when they head to Chicago this week to face the Sox.
AL EAST - The N.Y. Yankees made a statement by defeating Baltimore, 13-3 and once again, took over the division with the magic number of 22.
AL WEST - After being shut out by Tampa Bay, 6-0, the Texas Rangers' magic number stays at 20 while Oakland defeated Seattle, 4-2.
AL WILD CARD - With their wins, the L.A. Angels & Tampa Bay are now one game behind Oakland & Baltimore, who hold the magic number of 22.
NL EAST - Washington's magic number remains at 17 after being shut out by Miami, 8-0, while Atlanta earned a victory over the N.Y. Mets, 3-2.
NL CENTRAL - After losing to Houston, Cincinnati's magic number stays at 14, combined with St. Louis' victory over Milwaukee.
NL WEST - San Francisco improved their magic number to 17 after shutting out the L.A. Dodgers, 4-0.
NL WILD CARD - Atlanta & St. Louis reduced their magic number to 21 with their wins while the L.A. Dodgers fell to San Francisco.
