A tough 4-2 loss in Minnesota leaves the Detroit Tigers with a one game lead in the AL Central Division over the Chicago White Sox, who defeated Tampa Bay, 3-1. Still holding to the magic number of 5, the Tigers seek to bounce back and maintain their division lead this Saturday afternoon against the Twins.

NL EAST - Even though Washington & Atlanta both lost, the Nationals reduced their magic number to 2 and could win the division Saturday with a win over St. Louis & an Atlanta loss to the N.Y. Mets.

AL WEST - Oakland's 8-2 win over Seattle moved them three games behind Texas, who lost to the L.A. Angels, 7-4, but still has the magic number of 3 against them.

NL WILD CARD - The L.A. Dodgers shut out Colorado, 8-0, but now face the magic number of 3 against them with Atlanta & St. Louis leading in the race.

AL WILD CARD - The L.A. Angels defeated Texas, but due to Baltimore & Oakland winning as well, the magic number against them is now 4.

AL EAST - Both the N.Y. Yankees & Baltimore came away with big wins, but New York did improve their magic number to 5.
