Bergeron scores in 2OT to give Bruins a 3-0 lead in East Finals
Patrice Bergeron scored at 15:19 of the second overtime to give the Boston Bruins a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins and a commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped 53 shots for the Bruins and David Krejci scored Boston's only goal in regulation 1:42 into the 1st period. With his assist, Jaromir Jagr moved past former Detroit Red Wing Paul Coffey into fifth place on the NHL's career list with 197 postseason points.
Aiming for a sweep in Game 4 at home this Friday night, the Boston Bruins look to earn a chance to play for a second Stanely Cup in three years.
