Tigers shutout Indians, 7-0, to expand AL Central lead
Rick Porcello didn’t allow a run in his seven innings as the Detroit Tigers extended their winning streak to four games as they beat up Justin Masterson & his Cleveland Indians in a 7-0 shutout win.
In their four-game winning streak, the Tigers have scored 31 runs. No player has driven in more than five of them, but five players have driven in at least four.
Victor Martinez went 3-for-3 with a walk and in his return from a stiff back, Miguel Cabrera had one hit in five at-bats, which ended up being a hard ground-ball single up the middle for an RBI.
With a two & a half game lead in the AL Central division, the Tigers will look to increase that lead this Saturday afternoon in Cleveland at 4 pm.
