CMU & WMU humbled while U-M, MSU, & EMU take a week off
Shadrach Thornton and Matt Dayes each had long scoring runs during North Carolina State's four-touchdown 2ond quarter as the Wolfpack pounded the Central Michigan Chippewas, 48-14. The Wolfpack finished by outrushing Central Michigan 239-94 and holding a 483-259 advantage in total yardage.
Western Michigan established a potent running game and forced a pair of takeaways against the Kent State offense, but the Golden Flashes outlasted the Broncos in a 32-14 victory at Waldo Stadium. With the loss, the Broncos fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-1 in Mid-American Conference play.
