Pistons take care of business against 76ers, 113-96
Fans braved the weather to witness the Detroit Pistons earn a 113-96 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Four Pistons scored in double figures: Andre Drummond with 22, Greg Monroe with 21, and Kyle SIngler & Brandon Jennings with 20 each. The last time Detroit had four players with 20 points or more was March 11, 2009 when Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Rodney Stuckey, and Antonio McDyess did it against New York.
Tension rose before haiftime as Philadelphia’s Evan Turner went to the basket and was fouled by Pistons rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 1:26 left in the 2nd quarter. As he was walking away, Turner threw the ball in Caldwell-Pope's face. Brandon Jennings took exception to the rookie getting hit and threw the ball back at Turner. Both Turner and Jennings received technical fouls.
Up next for the Pistons is a trip to the state of Florida, starting with a Monday night showdown with the Miami Heat at 7:30 pm.
