Titan women fall hard late to Grizzlies in Oakland, 97-78
Freshman Megan Galloway led four Titans in double figures with a career-high 21 points, but two Oakland runs in the 2nd half was the difference as Detroit were defeated by the Golden Grizzlies, 97-78, at the O'Rena.
Galloway was 10-of-20 from the field and had 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Senior Senee Shearer had 17 points, sophomore Tayelor McCalister finished with 17 points, and freshman Minisha Frederick-Childress added 10 points.
The UDM women will conclude their two-game road trip this Saturday afternoon at 1 pm when they face the Vikings at Cleveland State. Meanwhile the men's team will be in Rochester to take on Oakland this Friday night at 7 pm in hopes of avenging their loss at Calihan Hall a few weeks ago.
