Connor Cook threw three touchdown passes against his father's alma mater and Jeremey Langford ran for three more TDs as the Michigan State defense shutout Indiana in the 2nd half to help the Spartans destroy the Hoosiers, 56-17. Cook went 24-of-32 for 332 yards with one interception, Langford ran for 109 yards & three touchdowns, Nick Hill finished with 178 yards including a 76-yard TD run with 1:24 left in the game, and Tony Lippett caught seven passes for 123 yards as the MSU offense wound up with 19 plays of 10 or more yards. Next week in East Lansing at 3:30 pm, the Spartans will host their Big Ten & in-state rival Michigan Wolverines.

Jarvion Franklin rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown as Western Michigan's defense shut down the Mid-American Conference's top rated offense in the Broncos' 26-14 win over the Bowling Green Falcons at Doyt Perry Stadium. Next week, Western Michigan will host Ohio in their annual Homecoming game at 2 pm.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles suffered another long week, thanks to a 36-14 defeat at the hands of the Massachusetts Minutemen at Gillette Stadium. The Eagles' record falls to 2-5 on the season (1-2 MAC) and will return home to Ypsilanti to host the defending MAC West Division champion Northern Illinois next Saturday. Game time is set for 1 pm and the game will be a part of EMU's Hall of Fame Weekend as seven new members will make up the Class of 2014 and be inducted into the prestigious group.

Ball State's Scott Secor kicked a career-long 55-yard field goal with the wind at his back with 17 seconds remaining as the Central Michigan Chippweas lost to the Cardinals, 32-29, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. CMU committed five turnovers and was penalized 10 times for 91 yards as they drop to 4-4 on the season (2-2 MAC) while Ball State (2-5, 1-2 MAC) snapped a five-game losing streak. The Chippewas will head to Buffalo next Saturday to face the Bulls at 3:30 pm.
