Three Wolverines score 20 points in 92-68 win over Hillsdale
Junior guard Caris LeVert finished the day with 20 points, a career-high nine assists, and eight rebounds in the Michigan Wolverines' 92-68 season-opening victory over the Hillsdale Chargers in front of a sold out crowd at Crisler Center, where the Wolverines received their 2013-14 Big Ten championship rings and raised the banner before tipoff.
Sophomore guard Derrick Walton Jr. led Michigan with a career-high 22 points, four assists on 5-of-8 shooting, and went 9-of-10 from the free throw line. Zak Irvin finished with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, making three of his six attempts from 3-point range. It's the first time in nearly three years that a U-M game featured three 20-point scorers.
Michigan will return to action this Monday night at the Crisler Center as part of the Legends Classic against Bucknell. Game time is set for 8 pm.
