Spartans pound Penn St.; Michigan struggles late vs. Ohio St.

Jeremy Langford ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns to help the #10 Michigan State Spartans earn a 34-10 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.  The Spartans (10-2, 7-1 Big Ten) won their third straight game and hit the double digit win mark for the fourth time in the last five seasons under head coach Mark Dantonio.  Now that the regular season is over, Michigan State will get ready for a possible bowl game on New Year's Day, which will be determined at a later date.




The #6 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 42-28, but lost their quarterback J.T. Barrett to a broken ankle.  After ending the season at 5-7 (3-5 Big Ten), Michigan head coach Brady Hoke's job status is now in question since his 11-2 start in 2011.  The Wolverines have gone 8-5, 7-6, and 5-7 to give him a 31-20 record.  With no postseason, U-M's interim AD Jim Hackett will make the call on Hoke's status.  Meanwhile, Ohio State will head to Indianapolis next week to face Wisconsin in the 2014 Big Ten Championship.  Game time is set for 8:17 pm.
