Pistons unable to catch up to Raptors in Toronto, 114-110
Jonas Valanciunas had 20 points & 11 rebounds and DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points as the Toronto Raptors survived long enough to defeat the Detroit Pistons, 114-110.
Starting in place of guard Brandon Jennings, who is lost for the season (6-9 months) due to a ruptured left Achilles tendon, point guard D.J. Augustin finished the night with a career-high 35 points for Detroit. Greg Monroe added 21 points and 16 rebounds for the Pistons, who suffered their third straight road loss.
Detroit will look to regroup this Tuesday night when they return home to the Palace of Auburn Hills to host Cleveland at 7:30 pm. The Cavs are currently on a six-game winning streak.
