Connar Tava saves WMU; Oakland women upsets Green Bay
Connar Tava's driving layup with 10 seconds left helped the Western Michigan Broncos snap their three-game losing streak with a 67-66 victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes.
Tucker Haymond shot 50% and led Western Michigan with 17 points. Tava and David Brown had 16 points each.
The Broncos (14-8, 5-4 MAC) will head to Mount Pleasant this Saturday afternoon to face Central Michigan at 2 pm.

Green Bay's eight-game winning streak and perfect Horizon League record come to an end as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies pulled off a huge upset over the Phoenix, 70-67, at the Kress Center.
The Phoenix shot just 6-for-23 from three-point range. Olivia Nash led Oakland with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
The Golden Grizzlies (10-11, 4-4 HL) will stay in the state of Wisconsin as they travel to Milwaukee to square off against the Panthers this Friday at noon.
