Monroe and Augustin help Pistons annihilate Hornets, 106-78

Greg Monroe had 23 points & 12 rebounds and D.J. Augustin added 18 points as the Detroit Pistons destroyed the Charlotte Hornets, 106-78. The Pistons are 16-9 over their last 25 games.

Monroe has recorded at least 20 points and 10 rebounds 48 times since the 2011-12 season, which is the most 20-10 games in the Eastern Conference during that span. Andre Drummond had 14 points and nine rebounds as Detroit outrebounded the Hornets, 48-38.

Before entering the All-Star break this weekend, the Pistons will head back to the Palace of Auburn Hills this Wednesday night to host the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs. The game is set to start at 7:30 pm.
