Michigan goes cold in overtime against Illinois, 64-52
Illinois' Kendrick Nunn hit a 3-pointer to force overtime and the Fighting Illini went on a 14-2 run in the extra session to defeat the Michigan Wolverines, 64-52. U-M's only overtime points came off a pair of free throws by Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman with 13 seconds left to play.
Spike Albrecht led Michigan with 13 points while Max Bielfeldt came off the bench and contributed with 12 points.
The Wolverines (13-12, 6-7 Big Ten) will be back home in Ann Arbor this Tuesday night when they host their Big Ten & in-state rival Michigan State at 9 pm.
