UDM women earn hard-fought win vs. Milwaukee; MSU prevails

Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Reynolds scored a game-high 20 points as the Detroit Titans fought hard down the stretch to earn a 60-56 victory over the Milwaukee Panthers.

Reynolds was 9-of-15 from the field with three assists for her sixth 20-point game of the year. Haleigh Ristovski finished the night with 14 points and seven rebounds for the Titans.

The win moved Detroit to 7-8 in the Horizon League (12-16 overall), assuring UDM at least a top five spot in the HL Tournament. The Titans can move to fourth place & get a home game in the quarterfinals next Wednesday with a win at Green Bay AND a Youngstown State loss to Valparaiso. The game against the Phoenix is set for this Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.

Travis Trice equaled a career high with 27 points to help the Michigan State Spartans to a 72-66 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in East Lansing.

Matt Costello finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, & four blocks for the Spartans and Colby Wollenman contributed with four points & four rebounds in 14 minutes -- the most he's played in his career against a Big Ten opponent.

Michigan State (20-10, 11-6 Big Ten) will conclude the regular season on the road this Saturday against Indiana at 12pm.
