Johnson's hat trick powers Tampa Bay past Rangers, 6-2
Tyler Johnson scored a short-handed goal, an even-strength goal, and a powerplay goal to record the first ever hat trick in Lightning playoff history as Tampa Bay evened the Eastern Conference Finals at one with a convincing 6-2 victory over the New York Rangers.
Steven Stamkos scored and Alex Killorn added two more goals for Tampa Bay while goaltender Ben Bishop made 35 saves, despite the Rangers scoring both of their goals on powerplays.
The series now shifts to Tampa Bay for Game 3 this Wednesday night at 8 pm.
