Defense helps Warriors take 2-0 West lead vs. Rockets, 99-98
Stephen Curry scored 33 points before James Harden lost the ball in the closing seconds as the Golden State Warriors held off the Houston Rockets, 99-98, to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.
Harden, who help the Rockets rally from 17 points down in the 2nd quarter, gave Houston a chance to finish off the comeback in the 4th quarter. Harden passed the ball to Dwight Howard, who was not covered & had a chance to make a wide open shot with two seconds left, but instead passed to ball back to Harden, who was already surrounded by Klay Thompson and Curry. At that point, they forced Harden to lose the ball as time expired.
The West Finals now moves to Houston for Game 3 this Saturday night at 9 pm ET, in which the Rockets face another two-game deficit.
