Stamkos helps Tamap Bay shutout Rangers to take 3-2 lead
Steven Stamkos set up Valtteri Filppula's go-ahead goal and scored another as the Tampa Bay Lightning pushed the New York Rangers to the brink of elimination with a 2-0 shutout victory in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Goaltender Ben Bishop made 26 saves in recording his second shutout to get the Lightning within a win of returning to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 2004.
With a 3-2 series lead, Tampa Bay will host Game 6 this Tuesday night at 8 pm.
