Tigers' long night ends in defeat vs. Pirates in 14 innings, 5-4
Neil Walker's RBI double in the 14th inning gave the Pittsburgh Pirates a 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers in a game that ended past 12:30 am.
Detroit trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th until J.D. Martinez hit his 11th homerun of the month off Tony Watson to tie the game at four.
After a few hours of rest, both teams will be back on the field at Comerica Park this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
