Matt Shoemaker threw a one-hitter going into the 8th inning and Albert Pujols drove in one run & scored another as the Los Angeles Angels returned the favor & shutout the Detroit Tigers, 2-0.

Tigers starting pitcher Randy Wolf (0-2) gave up one run on five hits and two walks in seven innings while striking out five batters. On the plus side, Detroit now leads the American League in runners caught stealing & grounding into double plays, and is among the leaders in both runners picked off and thrown out at the plate.

The Tigers are off to Canada to take on the Toronto Blue Jays in a three-game weekend series, which begins this Friday night at 7 pm.
