Lions finish 3-1 in preseason with 17-10 win over Buffalo
In an attempt to make the roster, TJ Jones turned a short pass into a 64-yard touchdown to help the Detroit Lions defeat the Buffalo Bills, 17-10, at Ford Field.
Rookie running back Zach Zenner, who is also aiming for a roster spot, ran for a go-ahead, 3-yard touchdown early in the 4th quarter to, ultimately, give Detroit the victory.
Now the Lions can focus on the regular season, which begins next Sunday afternoon at 4 pm against the Chargers in San Diego. The NFL season officially begins this Thursday (Sept. 10) when New England host their banner night in celebration of their Super Bowl championship against Pittsburgh at 8:30 pm.
