Red Wings stumble at the Shark Tank, 3-1

Detroit hit another road bump on their west coast trip. Despite a powerplay goal, late in the 1st period, by Tomas Holmstrom, the San Jose Sharks took advantage of every period as they beat the Red Wings, 3-1. San Jose's Dany Heatley led the team with two goals, one being a powerplay early in the 2nd period.
The Red Wings now look forward to taking care of business in the desert when they face the Phoenix Coyotes this Saturday at 8 pm ET. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Detroit. The last time they faced each other was early November when the Wings beat them at the Joe 3-2.
