Bats go cold as Tigers fall to White Sox, 2-1
Chris Sale broke the White Sox season strikeout record that had stood for more than a century with 269 Ks as Chicago defeated the Detroit Tigers, 2-1.
Detroit's starting pitcher Alfredo Simon (13-12) went eight innings and gave up two runs and five hits in losing his third consecutive decision.
The Tigers will try again against the White Sox in Chicago this Saturday night at 7 pm.
