Cabrera wins AL batting title as Tigers end season with 6-0 win
Daniel Norris pitched a one-hitter for five innings and Tyler Collins had a bases-clearing triple as the Detroit Tigers finished their 2015 season with a 6-0 shutout victory over the Chicago White Sox.
Detroit finished the season at 74-87 and in last place in AL Central Division for the first time in seven years. Miguel Cabrera didn't play, but finished the season with a .338 average, thus earning him the American League batting championship. Cabrera became the first player to win the AL batting title four times in a five-year span since Wade Boggs won four straight from 1985-1988.
With the MLB playoffs set to start this Tuesday night, the Tigers bid farewell until next year in April.
