Mets sweep Cubs to become NL champs; Toronto extends ALCS
Daniel Murphy homered for a record sixth consecutive postseason game as the New York Mets swept away the Chicago Cubs, 8-3, to become the 2015 National League Champions. Lucas Duda hit a three-run homerun in the 1st inning and a two-run double in the 2nd inning at Wrigley Field. The Mets have advanced to the World Series for the first time since 2000 and will have to stay on the road for a few more days, due to the American League representative hosting Games 1 & 2.
Marco Estrada pitched a one-hitter into the 8th inning to help give the Toronto Blue Jays a 7-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals to cut KC's American League Championship Series lead to 3-2. Both teams will head back to America to play Game 6 this Friday night at 8 pm, where the Blue Jays will start former Detroit Tiger David Price against Kansas City's Yordano Ventura.
