The Western Michigan Broncos went into Ypsilanti and dominated the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 58-28, to start Mid-American Conference play. The WMU's 58 points were the most scored by the Broncos since racking up 68 against Akron in 2011.

Broncos junior wide receiver Corey Davis reached 3,000 career yards receiving, moving into fifth all-time at Western Michigan and just two yards shy of surpassing Jarmarko Simmons in fourth (3,019). Davis caught seven passes for 105 yards, making it his fourth 100-yard game of the year.

Freshman running back Jamauri Bogan scored four touchdowns on eight carries and had 81 yards rushing. He became the first Western Michigan back to register four rushing TDs since Phil Reed accomplished the feat against Bowling Green in 2002.

The Broncos will be back home in Kalamazoo next week to host their own Thursday night game against Ball State at 7:30 pm. As for Eastern Michigan, they will travel to Oxford to face Miami (OH) next Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm.
