Michigan beats Penn St.; MSU knocks Ohio St. out of 1st place
Jourdan Lewis bounced off tacklers for a 55-yard return and Michigan punched in a touchdown six plays later to help the Wolverines earn a 28-16 road win over the Penn State Nittany Lions. U-M quarterback Jake Rudock was 25-of-38 passing, threw for 256 yards, and completed touchdown passes to Jake Butt and Amara Darboh. Next Saturday, Michigan returns home to the Big House in Ann Arbor to host Ohio State at noon.
Even under rainy & windy conditions, Michael Geiger kicked a 41-yard field goal as time expired as the Michigan State Spartans, playing without injured quarterback Connor Cook, on the road defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, 17-14, to snap the OSU's 23-game winning streak. Due to MSU winning, Michigan's chances of making it to the Big Ten championship ended. Up next for the Spartans is a home game in East Lansing against Penn State next Saturday at 3:30 pm.
