Western Michigan unable to keep up with Kent St. in OT, 87-84
Jimmy Hall scored 21 points as the Kent State Golden Flashes jumped out to a six-point lead in overtime and held on to defeat the Western Michigan Broncos, 87-84, in their MAC opener.
Thomas Wilder led Western Michigan with 28 points, including a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left to force overtime.
The Broncos' next game will be on the road at Akron to take on the Zips this Friday night at 7 pm.
