Points denied again for Red Wings in loss to Florida, 6-3
Vincent Trocheck had two goals & an assist and Jaromir Jagr ended an eight-game goal drought as the Atlantic Division-leading Florida Panthers defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 6-3.
All-Star rookie Dylan Larkin had his first two-goal game for Detroit, both coming within a span of 67 seconds between the first two periods. Mike Green added a powerplay and starting goalie Jimmy Howard made 27 saves, but suffered his seventh straight loss.
The Red Wings return home to the Joe Louis Arena for the first time since the All-Star break to host the New York Islanders this Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.
