Shootout plagues Detroit once again in loss to Colorado, 3-2
Semyon Varlamov made a season-high 43 saves and Blake Comeau scored in both the 3rd period & the shootout to help the Colorado Avalanche to a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Jonathan Ericsson and Pavel Datsyuk scored for Detroit, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
The Red Wings will conclude their five-game home stretch against their Original Six rival Boston Bruins this Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.
