Tigers bounce back vs. Red Sox in Boston, 4-2
After suffering deja vu against the White Sox yesterday in the 9th inning, Jose Iglesias hit a two-run homerun in the 6th inning and Justin Verlander pitched six solid innings to help the Detroit Tigers defeat the Boston Red Sox, 4-2.
Victor Martinez and James McCann also drove in runs for Detroit, who are now within 5 & 1/2 games of the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians.
The Tigers will look to keep the momentum going against Boston this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
