Tigers break 5-game slump to earn shoutout win vs. Texas
Matt Boyd limited the AL-best Texas Rangers to two hits over seven innings to help the Detroit Tigers snap a five-game losing streak with a 2-0 shutout win.
Casey McGehee had four of Detroit's 14 hits, relief pitcher Shanea Greene worked the 8th inning! a nd Francisco Rodriguez the 9th inning for his 33rd save in 36 chances, and to wrap up team's sixth shutout this season.
The Tigers will wrap their weekend series with the Rangers this Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
