Lions open 2016 preseson with 30-17 road win over Steelers
Dwayne Washington, the Lions' 7th-round pick, returned a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and quarterback Jake Rudock, the Lions' 6th-round pick out of Michigan, finished 8-of-11 for 72 yards & a touchdown to help Detroit defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in their preseason opener, 30-17.
Detroit's QB Matthew Stafford went 4-of-6 for 58 yards in his only series, which included converting three 3rd downs.
The Lions will host their preseason home opener against the Cincinnati Bengals this Thursday night inside Ford Field at 7:30 pm.
