Heavy rain in 3rd inning postpones Tigers-Twins game
In a scoreless 3rd inning, heavy rain & thunderstorms moved in and postponed Wednesday's game between the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader this Thursday.
The first game will start at 2 pm with Anibal Sanchez taking the mound while the nightcap will feature Justin Verlander at 8 pm. A Tigers sweep and an Orioles loss to the Red Sox would move Detroit into the second AL wild card spot.
