Lions' 2nd half rally downs Cowboys, 34-30 to go 4-0
The Detroit Lions erased a huge halftime deficit for the second straight week, scoring 31 second-half points to beat the Dallas Cowboys, 34-30.
The Lions returned two Tony Romo interceptions for touchdowns in the third quarter and Calvin Johnson caught two touchdown passes in the fourth, including the game-winner with 1:39 to play.
The victory gives the Lions their first 4-0 start since 1980 and just their second since winning the 1957 world championship.
Johnson has eight touchdown catches in four weeks and joins Cris Carter as the only players to catch multiple touchdowns in four straight games.
The Cowboys led 27-3 after their opening drive of the third quarter, then former Cowboys’ first-round pick Bobby Carpenter returned an interception 34 yards for a score and Chris Houston brought one back 56 yards for a touchdown.
