Red Wings tie series at one with 3-2 win over Nashville
After Game 1, the Detroit Red Wings knew that they had to start fast against the Nashville Predators to have a chance in Game 2 and they did with two goals in the first period from defenseman Ian White (1) & Cory Emmerton (1) to earn a 3-2 win on the road.
Goaltender Jimmy Howard had 24 saves and the Red Wings led in the second period 2-0 until Nashville's Andrei Kostitsyn (1) scored midway through with Detroit holding on to a 2-1 lead.
Johan Franzen (1) scored almost a minute apart of Kostitsyn, putting the Red Wings back to a two goal lead towards the 3rd period.
Howard became a huge reason why Detroit tied in the series with big save after big save in the final period. Predators' Shea Weber (1) scored late, but it wasn't enough as the Red Wings fly home to practice at the Joe Louis Arena Saturday to get ready for Game 3 on Sunday.
