Thunder defeat Spurs, 107-99 to become West champions
Kevin Durant had 34 points & 14 rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder earned the right to be in the NBA Finals by defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 107-99 to become the new Western Conference Champions.
Russell Westbrook added 25 points for the Thunder, who trailed by 18 in the first half and erased a 15-point halftime deficit.
The Western Conference championship celebration will be short-lived as the Thunder will remain home in OKC for Tuesday night's Game 1 of the NBA Finals as they prepare for the winner of the Eastern Conference. Curently, Boston leads the series, 3-2 and could finish it off with a win at home in Game 6 against Miami this Thursday night.
