Justin Verlander pitched a complete game four hitter while Miguel Cabrera had two homeruns and three RBI leading the Tigers past the Twins 5-1.
After a 2 hour 26 minute rain delay Detroit put two in the fisrt led by Miguel Cabrera's RBI Double for a 2-0 lead until the the seventh with the Tigers leading 3-1 Cabrera up to the plate and connected for his second homer of the game 18th on the year for the 5-1 lead.
Verlander won his ninth game of the season walking one striking out seven, his last start before the All-Star Break.
