Miguel Cabrera hit a 2-run homerun in the 1st inning and knocked in his league-leading 120th RBI of the season in the 3rd inning as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals, 6-3, at Comerica Park.
Max Scherzer improved to 18-1 to increase his MLB lead in wins. He went eight innings, allowing five hits, two runs, and no walks with four strikeouts.
The Tigers will enjoy a day off Monday before returning to action at Comerica Park this Tuesday night at 7 pm against the Minnesota Twins.
