Red Wings take down the Flyers at the Joe, 5-2
The Detroit Red Wings had their most productive night of the season as they finished off the Philadelphia Flyers, 5-2, at the Joe Louis Arena.
Todd Bertuzzi scored on a power play in the 1st period, which was his first goal of the season. Niklas Kronwall followed up with his own power play goal, along with Pavel Datsyuk, who also converted on another man advantage. Henrik Zetterberg scored his third goal, and then added his fourth into an empty net to give the Wings their first five-goal game of the season.
After the Detroit Tigers are done with Game 2 at Fenway Park on Sunday, the Red Wings will finish off the weekend trip to Boston when they face Bruins in another Original Six matchup this Monday afternoon at 1 pm.
