The Detroit Red Wings left the SAP Center with a loss to the San Jose Sharks, 4-1. Goaltender Jimmy Howard had a rough 2nd period, allowing four goals on 23 shots through two periods.
The Wings were once again without Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen, and Darren Helm among others due to injury, leaving them essentially with one scoring line.
