Titans suffer heartbreak in overtime at Oakland, 83-82
Junior Juwan Howard Jr. produced a game-high 33 points that helped Detroit get back in the game with a 2nd-half rally, but Oakland was able to hold on until the very end as the Golden Grizzlies defeated the Titans, 83-82, in overtime in front of a record crowd of 4,065 at the O'rena.
Howard Jr. also had six rebounds, four assists, was 11-of-25 from the field, and 7-of-9 from the free throw line. Freshman guard Matthew Grant ended the night with 10 points, while senior Evan Bruinsma finished with eight points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
The next stop for Detroit will be Chicago when they take on the UIC Flames this Tuesday night at 8 pm at the UIC Pavilion.
