Raw - February 14, 2011 - Anaheim , CA

A memorable Raw kicked off with John Cena taking on CM Punk in a match where there had to be a winner. A great competitive match until a member of the new Nexus handed CM Punk a wrench after Punk distracted the referee with a steel chair. As the ref moved the chair out of the ring, Punk nailed Cena with the wrench and followed it up with a GTS to get the controversal win.




Alberto Del Rio came out to continue gloating about his WrestleMania destiny until the World Heavyweight Champion Edge appeared & confronted Del Rio. After words were exchanged, a brawl broke loose with Edge spearing Alberto outside the ring. Moments later, Vicki Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler showed up and announced that there would a championship ceremony for Ziggler, given what happened last week on SmackDown. Vicki also announced that on SmackDown, she would reveal evidence that it was Edge who took SmackDown GM Theodore Long out of action from a few weeks ago.




In a lumberjill match for the Divas Championship, the champion Eve took on Natalya. The match went well, even when some of the divas got involved. It all concluded when Natalya attempted to roll up Eve, but Eve tilted her body just enough to cover Natalya for the three count. After the match, the Bella Twins got in Eve's face in the hallway and a huge brawl broke out between the three with Gail Kim & Natalya getting involved.




Mark Henry was on his way to have a match when King Sheamus attacked him from behind. After two straight kicks to the face, Sheamus made it known that he was sending a message to the other participants in the Elimination Chamber match.




In a champion vs. champion match, WWE Champion The Miz took on United States Champion Daniel Bryan. Both men went back & forth, but in the end, The Miz managed to execute the skull crushing finale on Bryan to pick up the win. After the match, The Miz focused his attention on Jerry "The King" Lawler, who was not there due to the passing of his mother, and stated that he would be ready for him at the Elimination Chamber PPV.




In the spirit of Valentine's Day, Ariel Winter, the co-star of the new movie, The Chaperone starring Triple H, entered the ring with The Great Khali to have special Khali Kiss Cam, where the crowd & even superstars in the back could get involved. Several minutes later, Hornswoggle presented Ariel with a box of candy and received a kiss for the gift.




In tag team action, Nexus members David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty wrestled John Morrison & R-Truth. Morrison, who suffered CM Punk's spray can attack last week, was all business as he used that anger to help R-Truth knocked down Mason Ryan at ringside and execute starship pain on McGillicutty for the win.




In the main event, King Sheamus took on Randy Orton. A highly competitive match going into this Sunday, but Orton ended the match with a sudden RKO for the win. Afterwards, CM Punk & the new Nexus ran down and attacked Orton until the Cena, Morrison, & R-Truth came down and cleared the ring.




The host of WrestleMania XXVII was revealed. With the light going out and coming back on full of electricity, the fans erupted with cheers when they found out that it was The Great One, The People's Champ, THE ROCK!!!
