Atlanta halts Pistons' rally & win streak at seven, 106-103
Al Horford had 19 points & 16 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks withstood a spirited rally by the Detroit Pistons and held on for a 106-103 victory. Atlanta has now won seven in a row while Detroit lost for the first time in eight games.
Detroit had a chance to tie it in regulation, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Caldwell-Pope scored 16 of his 20 points in the 4th quarter. The Pistons went 13-of-43 from 3-point range on a night where Greg Monroe & Andre Drummond were a combined 7-of-20 from the field.
Detroit will attempt to start up a new winning streak this Saturday night at 7:30 pm when they host Brooklyn at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
