Datsyuk saves Wings from shootout in 3-2 OT win vs. Blues
Fearing the thought of another shootout, Pavel Datsyuk scored with just three seconds left in overtime to give the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues.
Detroit won for the fourth time in five games and went 4-2 during their long six-game road trip to start out 2015. Goaltender Petr Mrazek made 25 saves and improved to 3-0 in four career appearances against St. Louis. Joakim Andersson and Tomas Tatar scored in a 60-second span in the 2nd period to give the Red Wings a 2-0 lead.
The Red Wings will come back home to the Joe Louis Arena for the first time this year to play the last three games before the All-Star break. The first game will be this Saturday night against Nashville at 7 pm.
